Network Management Blog & News
RF hardware is only part of a successful wireless deployment. Once equipment is installed, customers need to understand its performance, identify faults, manage configuration changes and keep services running.
For RF manufacturers, those operational requirements create an opportunity: make excellent hardware easier to manage throughout its working life.
Errigal helps manufacturers address this through device management and element management software, bringing discovery, monitoring and configuration capabilities into a shared platform. Manufacturers can strengthen the software capabilities surrounding their products while keeping their engineering teams focused on hardware development.
In February 2019, JMA Wireless announced that its TEKO DAS version 3.2.8 had been certified on Errigal’s IDMS platform.
The announcement described Errigal’s Vendor Product Certification process, designed to validate interoperability before customers introduce a vendor’s product or software change into their network. It also assessed whether IDMS could reliably discover, monitor, track and report on the certified equipment.
JMA became the first company to receive the programme’s highest five-star rating.
That historical announcement illustrates the value of validating the relationship between hardware and management software: customers need confidence that the equipment they deploy can also be supported operationally.

Errigal’s Element Management System brings together several capabilities that help make RF equipment easier to operate:
The available measurements and controls depend on the equipment and its management interface. Bringing them together gives operations teams a clearer starting point for investigating problems and understanding the affected infrastructure.
Customers often operate equipment from several manufacturers across different buildings and sites. Each additional management interface can introduce another dashboard, reporting process and workflow.
Errigal provides a vendor-neutral management environment that brings supported technologies together. Its published DAS compatibility list includes equipment from manufacturers such as Corning, CommScope, SOLiD, ADRF, BTI Wireless and others.
For a manufacturer, the commercial value is straightforward: customers can incorporate supported equipment into their wider operational environment and manage it alongside other technologies.
Errigal’s Nextivity integration provides a more recent example of how software can extend the operational value of RF hardware.
The integration brings Nextivity monitoring into IDMS, supporting historical performance analysis, customer reporting, alarm correlation and automated ticket creation. This helps teams move from seeing individual alerts to managing incidents through defined workflows and escalation paths.
In February 2026, Waveform and its sister company RSRF selected Errigal to centralise monitoring across their multi-vendor environments. Dedicated Nextivity integration was identified as a key factor in that decision, alongside unified monitoring, reporting and operational workflows.
From the published JMA certification to more recent integrations, the underlying objective remains consistent: help customers manage deployed RF equipment with greater visibility and control.
For manufacturers developing a new product or expanding the capabilities around an existing range, Errigal offers a foundation for device management, performance monitoring and integration into wider network operations.
